Education

(Post high school)

Learning is something I'm passionate about, and something I enjoy for its own sake. My particular areas of interest are software and languages (English and Latin-based, to date).

I'm very much a practical learner - I can read up on a topic and pass tests, but if it isn't something I get to practice, remembering it is a challenge. Taking copious notes is a big help in this area. Where English grammar is concerned, I like to get things right. This is a useful attribute, especially as I enjoy proof-reading (all but the driest of technical documents).

My spoken ability in foreign languages is sufficient to get by as a traveller, but I'm quite a strong reader. I understand spoken French, Italian and Spanish reasonably well, but I am very out of practice, and I need to build my vocabulary before I can really use these languages.
